The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has issued a pair of Severe Thunderstorm Watches which encompasses all of Deep East Texas until noon today.

The main threat from these storms will be damaging winds gusting up to 70 mph and hail up to an inch and a half in diameter.

Heavy rainfall is also possible, and actually has been occurring in areas to the north of Lufkin and Nacogdoches.  A Flash Flood Warning is in effect until 10:30 AM for portions of Rusk, Smith, and Cherokee counties.  Rainfall amounts have already been topping over 3 inches in areas near Henderson, Bullard, and Carthage.
